Claressa Shields Names Franchon Crews As First Pro Opponent

Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Claressa Shields took to social media today to announce the opponent for her much anticipated pro debut on the lead-off freeview telecast of Kovalev-Ward “Pound For Pound” on Saturday, Nov. 19 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shields is set to face decorated fellow American Franchon Crews in a four-round middleweight bout, with each round timed at two-minutes. This will not be the first time the two have faced off. According to ESPN.com, the highly anticipated March 5th bout between defending UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos and Conor McGregor is off.
