As expected, Conor McGregor will make his return to the Octagon the sooner than the later now that his legal troubles are for the most part behind him. Also, as expected, he will challenge his nemesis, the man he was looking to blindside in the dolly/bus incident, Khabib Nurmagomedov on October 6 in Las Vegas. Joseph Duff Out Of Main Event Holohan v Smolka Moved Up

The injury bug strikes again, this time crippling this weekends UFC Dublin Fight Night card. News came down on Wednesday that the main event of Joseph Duffy vs. Dustin Poirier was cancelled. Duffy suffered a cut while sparring this week and will be unable to be medically clear to compete on Saturday. With this happening in such a short period on time, the UFC is scrambling to shuffle the card. The new main event is now Paddy Holohan vs. Louis Smolka, with Reza Madadi vs. Norman Park as the co-main. Park offered to fill in for the hurt Duffy, but Poirier and his team declined.
